Some useful tips to help you get the most from your Cover CD
• Some of the demos on the CD require installation to your hard disk - they won't run directly from the CD. Many of these programs use an installer; once you've double-clicked on it, just follow the on-screen instructions and you should be fine. You must disable any anti-virus software you have installed, as it may interfere with the installation process.
• The icons we use on the CD help to make it friendly, but they do slow it down slightly. You can install CDIconKiller that's in Resources: System Add-ons, to speed things up.
• If you have problems quitting any of the demos on the CD, just press the command and Q keys together and you should go back to the Finder. If this doesn't work, press the command, option (labeled as alt on some keyboards) and escape keys together to force quit.
• It couldn't be easier to install System Extensions and Control Panels - just drag them over your closed System Folder and your Mac puts them in the right place. Then you simply need to Restart to make them active.
• Look for the CD icon in the magazine - it will point you towards CD contents connected with the feature or review you're reading.
• The Resources folder contains applications, utilities and updaters (including Acrobat Reader, Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator and GraphicConverter) which will help you get the most from the demos and files included on the Cover CD.
